“Sport Beyond Sport”
Paralympic downhill skiing
After collecting numerous victories both at European and International level, Bertagnolli made his Olympic debut at the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games, earning 4 medals that brought Italy back onto the podium of the Winter Paralympics after a period of 8 years without medal winners.
The meeting between sighted guide Andrea Ravelli, athlete and alpine skiing instructor who had already participated in the European cup, was the moment in which an unstoppable sports partnership was forged.
The Bertagnolli-Ravelli duo triumphs in the World Cup by winning the trophy, the downhill, super giant and special slalom specialty cups.
Following the successes in Lillehammer, the duo win a gold in the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter in both the special slalom and in the super combined, as well as a silver in the super giant and slalom.
