2017

Passionate about taekwondo since childhood and having trained at the gym of master Baglivo, Dell’Aquila entered the international scene at the Muju World Championships, earning a bronze medal in the 54 kg category.

2018

At the age of eighteen, he joined the Gruppo Sportivo dei Carabinieri (Carabinieri Sports Group) among whose ranks he began a long competitive path wherein, that same year, he once again won a bronze medal in the 54 kg category at the European Championships in Kazan.

2019

After the winning a gold medal at the European Championships in Bari, he won the 58 kg tournament at the Moscow Grand Prix, beating the number one world-ranking athlete at the time and securing a spot at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

2021

Although he went in as an underdog, his first Olympic experience transformed into another triumph: a series of 4 wins that propelled him into the final of the category of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games, where he won his first extraordinary Olympic gold medal.
